Peterborough Cathedral
Peterborough Cathedral, properly the Cathedral Church of St Peter, St Paul and St Andrew – also known as Saint Peter's Cathedral[1] – the seat of the Bishop of Peterborough, is dedicated to Saint Peter, Saint Paul and Saint Andrew whose statues look down from the three high gables of the famous West Front. Founded in the Saxon period, the architecture is mainly Norman following a rebuilding in the 12th century. With Durham and Ely Cathedrals, it is one of the most important 12th century buildings in England to have remained largely intact, despite extensions and restoration. The Town Hall is 75 miles (121 km) north of London at Charing Cross. The city stands athwart the River Nene, which flows into the North Sea approximately 30 miles (48 km) to the north-east, and the East Coast Main Line railway. London Road Stadium London Road is a multi-purpose stadium in Peterborough, England. It is currently used mostly for football matches and is the home ground of Peterborough United F.C..
